Moving house can be one of the most stressful events an adult can go through, but often the children’s feelings about the move are forgotten. The children have no control over the move, which can create a huge amount of anxiety for them. The sadness of leaving all the things they know behind and the uncertainty of what’s about to happen can weigh heavily on their minds. It’s important that parents prepare their children for the move and ensure their social and emotional wellbeing is taken care of as they transition to new homes and possibly new schools and community groups.
The Agency has been a wonderful supporter of The Magic Coat Foundation, having been presenting sponsor of the annual fundraising ball for the past 3 years, and this collaboration to support young people experiencing worry and anxiety has been a great extension of the valuable partnership.
